Daniel Urresti, former presidential candidate, He is at the head of the voting intention to be elected as mayor of Lima in the Municipal and Regional Elections 2022, which will take place on October 2, according to the latest survey conducted by CPI.
The study revealed that Urresti leads with a 16% preference among Limeños with strong support from socioeconomic level C and from the age group that ranges from 40 to 55 years. The group that least supports the former presidential candidate was that of young people between 18 and 24 years old.

Rafael López Aliaga (Popular Renovation) appeared in second place with 14.6% of voting intentions and was followed by George Forsyth (Somos Perú) with 11.5%. They also appeared on this list Ricardo Belmont (Free Peru) with 8%, Alberto Tejada with 5%, Edde Cuéllar with 3.4% and former congressman Richard Acuña with 3.2%.
For this study, a sample of 3,500 interviews was used.
They disapprove of Mayor Muñoz’s management
On the other hand, the study carried out by CPI showed that 59% of the capital’s population disapproves of the management of the current mayor of Lima, Jorge Muñozand only 23% approve of his performance during the last four years.

Among the more than 3,000 interviewees, the population aged 56 and over is the one that does consider that they have done a good job as head of the Lima mayor’s office, contrary to the age group of 25 to 39 years old, who is not satisfied with his mandate.
