765 polling stations have opened in the municipalities of the region; they will remain open until 20.00.
On the first day of voting, turnout in the Krasnodar Territory was 24.11%, almost 268 thousand people made their choice. Residents elect 49 heads of urban and rural settlements and 183 municipal deputies.
Over the course of two days, 62 municipal election campaigns of various levels are taking place in the region. More than one million people will be able to vote.
Independent observers work at the polling stations. The elections are covered by more than 50 accredited media outlets. Public order is ensured by 5.5 thousand people – police officers, the National Guard, and Cossacks, reports the press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration.
There are 62 municipal election campaigns taking place in Kuban this year. Voting is held from 8.00 to 20.00, the regional election commission clarifies.
Let us remind you that 765 polling stations were operating in the region the day before. The total voter turnout in the region on September 9 was 24.11% – 267,936 people have already taken part in the elections.
