Electricity prices up: the highest since mid-September

A period of “Dunkelflaute”, which characterizes windless, gray and cold weather that is particularly unfavorable to the production of renewable energies, led to a doubling of the price of electricity last week.

And the problems of the French nuclear fleet do not help matters, far from it. EDF had to postpone the restart of certain reactors currently shut down on Monday. Usually an exporter, France is forced to import electricity from its neighbours.
