Thirteen people, including teachers and students, were injured when the ceiling of an elementary school gymnasium in Yeosu collapsed.
At around 12:20 noon today, some structures from the ceiling of the gymnasium at Yeomun Elementary School in Munsu-dong, Yeosu City fell and hit teachers and students.
A teacher and 12 students sustained minor injuries in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
At the time of the accident, it was reported that teachers and students were preparing for a performance on the stage right under the ceiling of the gymnasium.
The fire department is currently trying to figure out the exact circumstances of the accident.
