Elle Fanning’s casting is confirmed thanks to a QR code presented to PAX Australia.

Fans got confirmation that the latest ad campaign posted on Kojima Productions’ official website featured Elle Fanning. Countryside “Who Am I” featured the silhouette of a female face with the questioning text in the foreground. So fans were quick to play detective on Twitter, and actress Elle Fanning emerged as the most likely candidate.

During PAX Australia, representatives from Kojima Productions were on hand with a large poster that read the question “Where Am I”. It was therefore up to the fans to find the QR Code hidden somewhere and then discover the identity of the silhouette presented regarding two weeks earlier.
We now have confirmation that it was indeed the silhouette of the young woman, thanks to a code QR that was scannable at the PAX Australia event. Internet detectives had once once more managed to solve the mystery before the official announcement. We don’t yet know anything regarding Hideo Kojima’s next game, but we do know that, like Norman Reedus for Death Stranding, Elle Fanning is likely to have a central role in the production.
