Months after giving birth, 33-year-old music artist Grimes welcomed her new daughter with American billionaire Elon Musk.
The two had a daughter, who was born at the end of last year, but they kept the announcement for months, until the mother revealed this during an interview published by Vanity Fair magazine, Thursday.
Grimes also explained that she and Mask used a surrogate for fear of complications in her pregnancy, pointing out that her first pregnancy was characterized by difficulties.
Surprise in the meaning of the name
The announcement received widespread attention, but the surprise was the meaning of the name, as the mother explained that Exa refers to the term exaFLOPS supercomputing, while Dark represents the unknown.
She added that the choice of Exa Dark Sideryel came because its meanings involve space and technology.
Grimes also did not rule out any desire by her daughter to change her first name in the future, hoping that the public and the media would use it completely.
It is reported that Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, announced in the fall that he was “semi separated” from the singer, while Grimes announced that their relationship was friendship, noting that she and Musk were planning to have more children together.
Musk, 50, separated 3 times, while he became the father of 8 children, including a child who died just 10 weeks after his birth.
