“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to accept the position. After that, I will only run the software and server teams,” said the billionaire.

This news comes after last Sunday Musk published a survey in his own account in which he asked users to vote on whether he should continue as CEO, with a surprise result. In twelve hours, 17 million users voted and 57% asked him to leave the post.

Likewise, it was learned that Musk is actively looking for a possible CEO, and the economic portal CNBC specified that that search did not begin on Sunday, but many weeks ago.

Although the North American media have tried to investigate more about the matter, So far it is unknown if the search is taking place inside or outside the company.

In June, before formalizing the purchase of the network, Musk had already said he would run the company for “a few months.”although that promise seemed difficult to keep given the interest that Twitter aroused in him since his arrival and his extreme personal involvement in his course.

In fact, investors and senior executives at Tesla, Musk’s other big company and the source of his great fortune, had been asking him for several weeks to appoint an executive director for Twitter, since the social network takes up a lot of time to attend to his other businesses.
