Tesla CEO Elon Musk has filed an objection to Twitter’s expedited trial request, saying it was unfair.

According to Archyde.com on the 16th, Elon Musk filed a petition against a request for an expedited trial filed by Twitter on Friday.

Earlier, he had been negotiating a deal to acquire Twitter for about $44 billion, but it was shut down due to the number of fake accounts. Twitter filed a lawsuit on Tuesday for violating the terms of the takeover deal and filed for a trial in September. This is because the merger agreement ends on October 25th.

Elon Musk’s attorneys argued in a filing in the Delaware state court that the court should dismiss Twitter’s request to bring the merger case to trial within two months. In particular, he added that the dispute over fake accounts is central to Twitter’s value, and that it will be a long time before we can confirm it. Accordingly, the court requested that the trial date be set after February 13 next year.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk announced on the 8th (local time) that the deal to acquire Twitter was terminated. At the time, lawyers said they had asked Twitter to submit information that was important to the company’s business performance, including fake accounts, but Twitter did not cooperate in providing the information. It also added that Twitter appears to have put false information into the agreement, claiming that it was in grave violation of the terms of the agreement.
