After a fall, pop star Elton John spent a night in the hospital to be on the safe side. “We can confirm that Elton went to the local hospital as a precautionary measure following a slip at his home in the south of France yesterday,” the British news agency PA quoted a spokesman for the 76-year-old Briton as saying. “He was immediately discharged this morning following a check-up and is now back home and in good health.”
The British tabloid “Sun” had previously reported that the incident occurred in a villa in Nice where Sir Elton John was on vacation with husband David Furnish and their two sons. The singer suffered minor injuries.
