Embraer delivers 30 commercial jets in 4Q22 and 57 in 2022

Embraer delivered 80 aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2022, 30 commercial and 50 executive (33 light and 17 medium). During the year, the company delivered 159 jets (57 commercial and 102 executive aircraft).

Compared to 2021, the company increased the total number of aircraft delivered by 12.7%. As of December 31, the firm order backlog totaled $17.5 billion.

In Commercial Aviation, Embraer confirmed a new firm order of US$ 1.17 billion, to supply 15 new E195-E2 jets in the last quarter of 2022, to an undisclosed customer. The airline also confirmed a new firm order from Binter for five E195-E2 aircraft. The order totals US$389.4 million at list price.

Another highlight of the period was the certification of the E190-E2 in China and the E-Jets E2 (E195-E2 and E190-E2) in Canada. In December, Canada’s Porter Airlines took delivery of its first five E195-E2s. Porter Airlines has a total of 50 firm orders for the E195-E2. Another important milestone in the quarter was the delivery of three new E190 aircraft to CIAF Leasing, a company headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.

In Executive Aviation, Embraer delivered 50 jets (33 light and 17 medium) in the fourth quarter, with sales following the positive movement in the segment.

In the Services & Support segment, Embraer signed heavy maintenance service contracts with Envoy Air Inc. and with JSX, totaling US$72 million. In addition, Grupo TUI signed a contract for the Pool Program to support the fleet of E195-E2 jets. NAC, in turn, signed a firm contract for up to 10 new E190F/E195F cargo aircraft conversions.
