The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the cessation of operations at the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, after fuel ran out completely.
The director of the complex, Muhammad Abu Salima, reported that children and patients died because the devices stopped working after the electricity was cut off from the complex, revealing that only hours separate other patients and medical teams from death.
This came after Doctors Without Borders announced that it was unable to contact any of its employees inside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, which has been subjected to intense Israeli bombing since yesterday, Friday.
In addition, the Palestinian Minister of Health said that the Al-Nasr and Al-Rantisi hospitals were completely out of service due to the direct bombing, noting that “inevitable death has become the fate of patients in the hospitals.”
