Emil Forsberg, 32, and his wife Shanga, 31, have been together for 19 years.
Now they are going to divorce.
– I have no comments about my private life, says Forsberg.
Shanga Forsberg has been by Emil Forsberg’s side throughout the national team player’s soccer career.
They already met in their early teens and got married in 2016. They have since had two children together.

Now the marriage is over, Shanga Forsberg announces on social media.
“We will separate. Words I thought I would never utter after two children and 19 years together and that still feel unreal”she writes.
That Shanga Forsberg has submitted an application for divorce to the district court is confirmed in a document that Sportbladet has seen.
Didn’t want questions
After Monday evening’s lanship match between Sweden and Albania, Emil Forsberg, via the national team, asked to avoid questions about his private life.
– I have no comments about my private life, he says in a statement.
Instead, Forsberg talked about the match where he himself, among other things, had a shot in the post.
– I had to pick up the ball a little behind me, it was sad that it didn’t go in, says Forsberg to Sportbladet.

Have moved
Emil Forsberg left RB Leipzig for the New York Red Bulls last winter and the rest of the family has not moved with him to the USA.
– It is clear that you miss your children, but luckily there is Facetime, so it works out, said Forsberg during a press meeting with the national team last week.
