Who can stop the Eminem monster? 25 years of career and the Rap God is still present with ever increasing numbers remarkable. While he recently became the first artist to have 10 albums with exceeded 1.5 billion streams everyone on Spotify, now the RIAA has given him this Tuesday, March 8 a new title since he becomes the most certified gold and platinum singles artist in music history.
Indeed, the RIAA announced the addition of a diamond certification for Curtain Call : The Hits and of 75.3 million new units certified to the already wide catalog of Slim Shady. A new feat that allows him to count a total of 166 million single certifications and 61.5 million album certificationstotaling 227.5 million certifications throughout his career.
RIAA President and CEO, Mitch Glazier said in a press release: “These awards recognize Eminem’s unwavering commitment to his craft and the enduring relationship he has forged with fans over the past twenty years. With today’s announcement, Eminem becomes the top certified solo artist in our program’s history and adds a rare third diamond album to his many creative accomplishments.”
A feat legendary who anchors Eminem a little more in the story and which is well worth its potential place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2022.
