Emirates Airlines announces its need for 6,000 hosts and hostesses

Adel Al-Ridha, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines, confirmed that the airline is accelerating work towards increasing its human cadres during the years 2023 and 2024, by hiring more workers, especially aircraft crews.

In remarks on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, he revealed the airline’s need for between 5,500 and 6,000 male and female flight attendants, pointing out that the demand for aviation jobs will continue, and the airline has the ability to train up to 500 male and female flight attendants per month. He expected the number of flight attendants and pilots, by the end of 2023, to exceed pre-pandemic levels.

He explained that there is a great demand for the employment of engineers in the carrier, due to the expansion plans in the field of maintenance, modernization and installation of new systems and seats carried out by the Engineering Center in Dubai, and therefore there is a demand for technicians and engineers, in addition to the increased demand for heavy periodic maintenance of wide-body aircraft.

He stressed that the carrier is studying several initiatives to increase productivity in the company, and the introduction of technology techniques to take advantage of the services, pointing out that some jobs will not return as they were. Al Redha indicated that the airline is witnessing a strong demand for travel to Dubai as a final destination or a transit destination with a longer period.
