His Excellency Majid Ali Al-Mansoori, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the exhibition and Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers Club, praised the active Saudi participation in all sessions of the exhibition since its first session, whether at the level of companies or individuals and official institutions, as well as in various artistic and literary competitions specialized in the exhibition and in its poetry evenings and all its heritage activities, which It enriches the event and gives it a strong impetus, as well as the influx of thousands of Saudi visitors to the capital Abu Dhabi during the period of the exhibition, which is a meeting place for falconers and hunting lovers in the region.

His Excellency stressed that the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region have been known since ancient times for their fondness and strong attachment to the sport of falconry, equestrian and camel riding, stressing the importance of cooperation in the field of environmental protection and preservation and introducing Gulf youth to the authentic Arab customs and traditions that their parents and grandparents lived on. He also valued the Kingdom’s pioneering environmental and heritage efforts And its distinguished role in preserving species and preserving the heritage of falconry that has been adhered to by the Saudi brothers for thousands of years.

The Saudi participation in Abu Dhabi 2022 is topped by 3 major natural reserves, led by the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, which is considered the largest nature reserve in the Middle East with an area of ​​130,700 square kilometers. The reserve consists of three main reserves distributed in the north and northwest of the Kingdom: Al-Tabiq, Al-Khanfa Protectorate, and Hurra Al-Hurra Protectorate.

The King Salman Reserve has a long history, as it includes many archaeological sites and geographical features that were formed over the years, the cultures of the diverse local communities and the precious natural resources and habitats. Today, it has become an attractive destination in the Kingdom locally, regionally and internationally, especially as it includes more than 14 diverse geographical formations, including volcanic craters, sand dunes and valleys. mountains and high altitudes.

The activities of the next session will also feature the participation of the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority, which was established in 2018 with the aim of conserving plant and animal species. The reserve is located in the Riyadh region on an area of ​​28,136 square kilometers and includes Al-Tanhat and Khafaf meadows and adjacent areas. Hunting, pollution, logging and overgrazing are prohibited in the reserve. To preserve and increase the vegetation cover and restore the biodiversity of endemic, fragile and endangered species.

Also participating in the Abu Dhabi Hunting Fair is the “Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve” in the “Conservation of the Environment and Cultural Heritage” sector. It is a global reserve and a unique eco-tourism destination with its rich heritage and scenic nature that aims to preserve the beauty of nature, involve the local community and promote eco-tourism by providing an eco-tourism experience. With international standards for visitors, the reserve is located on the eastern side of the city of Hail, with an area of ​​42,722 square kilometers, and the Houbara bustard is rarely found in the reserve.

The CEO of the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority, Eng. Muhammad Al-Shaalan, stressed the importance of the authority’s participation in the exhibition, as it is a global platform that allows introducing the authority and its goals, in order to achieve its vision of being a global reserve and a unique eco-tourism destination with its rich heritage and scenic nature.

He said that “this participation reflects the continuous growth of the role of the environmental and tourism authority and the culmination of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates at all levels, in light of the interconnected Gulf culture and the history full of achievements between the two countries.” In the “Outdoor Recreational Vehicles and Equipment” sector, there is a company from Saudi Arabia, “Desert Stars Factory”, the Desert Stars Factory, which is specialized in manufacturing high-tech recreational vehicles in the Arabian Gulf region and providing travel and fishing caravans with the latest means of communication, electronics and satellite receivers, as well as air-conditioning and lighting facilities. .

Al Sahwa Equestrian Club is also participating from Saudi Arabia by displaying all the requirements of this sport and its tools and horse accessories and supplies.
