ABU DHABI, 28th November, WAM/ The Joint Traffic Safety Committee, chaired by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, launched a series of awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing the security and safety of road users in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
An awareness campaign was launched for vehicle drivers on the need to focus while driving and not be distracted by other than the road in order to avoid accidents and to preserve their safety and the safety of others, in line with the strategic objectives of the Joint Traffic Safety Committee.
The committee clarified that the behaviors that distract the driver and distract him from the road and limit his control over driving the vehicle safely are wrong behaviors and may be fatal within a few seconds, as they may cause a loss of control and a dangerous deviation of the vehicle and damage to his safety and the safety of others or threaten their lives.
