Emirates News Agency – Construction contracts in Ajman exceed 2.1 billion dirhams in the first half of 2022

AJMAN, August 16 / WAM/ The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman announced that construction contracts in the emirate exceeded 2.1 billion dirhams, according to a report issued in the first half of this year, indicating that the contracts witnessed a growth compared to the same period of the past two years. 2020, about 800 million dirhams, while the construction value was allocated at one billion and 900 million dirhams in the past year 2021.

And he indicated that the qualified competencies in the department were able during the last period to develop targeted smart systems and applications to facilitate the customers, enabling those wishing to build to complete their transactions within a record time, adding that the existing linkage with the partners in the construction journey contributed to alleviating the customer and giving him the opportunity to follow up. For his part, Engineer Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, Director of Buildings Department in the department, explained that the number of building permits recorded an increase during the first half of the current year 2022, reaching 2376, while the number of building permits was monitored in the same period last year, 2187 permits, and the administration completed 1659 permits during the same period during the year 2020.
