DUBAI, 25th August / WAM / The Dubai Club for People of Determination honored 250 male and female volunteers in appreciation of their contributions and voluntary efforts that contributed to the success of the sixth edition of the club’s summer activity.
Thani Jumaa Belrakad, Chairman of the Board of Directors, praised all the participants and said, “Volunteering is an approach and behavior that we learned from our fathers and inherited for our children through doing good and benefiting others and being guided by our true religion,” describing volunteers as an “icon”.
Belrakad added: “Our wise leadership always emphasizes the culture of volunteerism and its role in promoting sustainable development and building a better future for future generations.”
He stressed that the Dubai Club for People of Determination is keen to provide all volunteer energies so that the volunteers compete to highlight the bright face of the Emirates, Dubai and the club in all the global, continental and local events that it has hosted with pride, so that its volunteer message can be fully delivered to the world.. He said that the participation of 250 volunteers in the summer activity is a source of pride. We are proud that volunteering is an Emirati method.
Al-Raqqad and Fawzia Al-Balushi, the club’s assistant executive director, honored the volunteers, including the volunteers’ mother, Aisha Al-Hammadi, who embodied love and spread the positive atmosphere between the different work teams, presenting the most beautiful images of volunteering.
The honor included those who broke the numbers of volunteer work in the club, each of whom worked 140 volunteer hours, namely Rawan Najafzadeh, Maha Farhan and Maryam Sabek, in addition to the youngest volunteer Asmaa Al-Sharif (9 years old) and the summer activist work teams.. The attendees watched a documentary film about the summer activity during 8 weeks and many more Of the spontaneous shots between the participants.
Majed Al-Osaimi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Summer Activities, stressed: “Volunteering is an approach and behavior and our true religion urges volunteering, which not only increases the rank of volunteers in the community, but also with the Almighty God.” He explained that the wise leadership encourages volunteering, which is embodied by the Corona pandemic and provided luminous images of volunteering.
In her speech on behalf of the volunteers, Fatima Nassib thanked the club’s board of directors headed by Thani Jumaa Belqad and the organizing committee for summer activities headed by Majid Al-Osaimi for the excellence of this exceptional edition, stressing that everyone is all proud and honored to interact with all the events that the club has been organizing.
