Emirates News Agency – Dubai Women Establishment and Dubai International Marine Sports sign a cooperation agreement

DUBAI, 21st July, WAM / The Dubai Women Establishment has signed a cooperation agreement with the Dubai International Marine Club in the field of various activities that support institutional development on both sides and to cooperate in organizing marine sports events for women throughout the year by employing human expertise and technical capabilities, which contributes to Opening the way for women to participate in marine sports competitions, as well as to benefit from the modern sports facilities of the Dubai Ladies Club, a member of the Dubai Women’s Establishment.

The agreement comes within the framework of the two parties’ efforts to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnerships to enhance the role of women in various sectors, especially in the sports field.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Shamsa Saleh, Board Member and Executive Director of the Dubai Women’s Establishment, and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Hareb, Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club.

The agreement provides for the development of services to be provided to the members of the two parties, upgrading them to the highest levels of quality, organizing joint workshops related to their fields of work, and for the employees of the Dubai International Marine Club and their families, the contestants and their families to benefit from the programs provided by the Dubai Women Establishment, as well as for them to benefit from the exclusive benefits of all forms of membership in the Dubai Club for women.

Her Excellency Shamsa Saleh said that this memorandum comes within the framework of the initiatives of the Dubai Women’s Foundation to translate the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and President of the Dubai Foundation For women and the president of the Dubai Ladies Club, by providing all forms of support to women in various sectors, including encouraging them to practice sports in all its fields, due to its health, physical and psychological importance, and qualifying them to participate in local and international marine sports events. For women to make sporting events for women a success and to enhance the club’s leadership in this field.

She added that this agreement enhances the efforts of the Dubai Women Establishment in building influential strategic partnerships in the women’s file and enabling them to play a pivotal role in foreseeing and making the future as one of the main pillars of the Foundation’s work strategy, praising the efforts and initiatives of the Dubai International Marine Club in organizing quality marine sports activities that contribute to Creating a competitive environment for all segments of society and its role in enhancing Dubai’s position as a tourist destination for marine sports.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Hareb Al Falahi, Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club, thanked Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance, President of the Dubai Women’s Establishment and President of the Dubai Ladies Club, for the attention, follow-up and support of initiatives that would promote Supporting women in various fields, including sports, towards a healthy and healthy society, and under a joint work system under the umbrella of the Dubai Sports Council.

He explained that the signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the efforts of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club headed by His Excellency Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar to push the sports system and activate the role of women in the marine sports field in line with the strategic objectives set by the Government of Dubai and the directions of the Dubai Sports Council to make Dubai the first sports destination in The region and the Middle East The signing of the agreement is also in line with the updated strategic plan 2021-2027 for the club to open up prospects for cooperation with sports institutions in the emirate to serve the local community, indicating that this cooperation would constitute a major shift and increase the chances of success of events and also the desire of the female element to practice marine sports According to professional regulatory standards. The Dubai Women Establishment, which was established in 2006 under Law No. 24 issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, aims to develop the capabilities of Emirati women, highlight their active role and enhance their participation. The Dubai International Marine Club is one of the distinguished marine sports edifices in the Middle East and the oldest and pioneering club in this field since 1988.
