Emirates News Agency – “Emaar” sponsors the fifth evening of the Dubai World Cup Carnival

DUBAI, 31st January, 2020 (WAM) — The Dubai Racing Club announced that Emaar will sponsor the fifth evening of the Dubai World Cup Carnival, next Friday, February 3rd.

The main round of the evening will be the second round of the Al Maktoum Challenge (Category 2) for purebred hybrid horses, one of the oldest races in the country, at a distance of 1,900 sandy meters.

The race was launched for the first time in 1994, and the national coach, Saeed bin Suroor, won it 12 times, and in 2022 it was won by the American star Hot Rod Charlie, who then finished second in the Dubai World Cup race, whose prizes amount to 12 million dollars.

The race-filled evening includes the category two Singspiel Stakes race, at a distance of 1,800 meters, on grass, and the category two race “Cape Verde” for fillies and mares, at a distance of 1,600 meters, on grass. Speed ​​horses also have a share in the competition at a distance of 1,200 meters. On the sand track, in the third category race “Al Shindagha Sprint”, which was won last year by Miras.

For its part, Emaar confirmed in its statement issued today that the Dubai World Cup is a prestigious event in the world, and it is an honor for it to sponsor the fifth carnival evening, and to be part of this global celebration that revives the equestrian sport that has its roots in the history of the UAE.

The Dubai Racing Club announced that it welcomed Emaar as a partner for the first time this season, as it is one of the largest real estate companies around the world.
