Emirates News Agency – European stocks rise with the continuation of the holiday on the London Stock Exchange

LONDON, December 27 / WAM / European stock indices rose during today’s trading, following receiving a strong boost from the gains of their Asian counterparts, following China announced easing the restrictions of the “Covid-19” pandemic.
And the National Health Commission of China announced yesterday that those coming to China will be exempted from quarantine procedures, starting from January 8, in a major step towards easing restrictions on the borders closed to a large extent since 2020.
And by 03:23 pm UAE time, the European Stoxx 600 index increased by 0.49%, or the equivalent of 2.08 points, to reach 429.53 points.
The “Euro Stoxx 50” index increased by 0.85%, or 32.58 points, to reach the level of 3849.59 points, and the French “CAC 40” index increased by 65.82 points, or by 1.01%, to reach 6570.72 points.
The German “DAX” index increased by 0.81%, or the equivalent of 112.7 points, to reach 14,053.67 points.

And the London Stock Exchange is still in a holiday on the occasion of Christmas, to resume trading tomorrow.
