DOHA, November 24, WAM/ Hansi Flick, coach of the German national football team, confirmed that his team has a lot of work to do against its Spanish counterpart in the second round of the first round matches of the 2022 World Cup.
The two teams meet on Sunday in a match that represents a fateful confrontation for the German national team in the tournament, after losing 1-2 in the first match against Japan, while the Spanish national team achieved a great victory 7-0 over its Costa Rican counterpart.
The German national team is seeking to avoid repeating the fate it faced in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when it was eliminated from the first round in the tournament it fought to defend its world title.
Flick told reporters today that his team had nothing left but to win over Spain to preserve its chances of staying in the championship, explaining that every player in the team just had to do everything he could in the Spain match.
Flick stressed, “We have to turn that data around and try to do things better. We have a lot of work to do.”
