By 11:29 am UAE time, the yellow metal fell by 0.31%, or the equivalent of $6.2, to reach 1977.86 per ounce.
Gold contracts for December 2023 delivery fell by 0.41%, or $8.1, to reach $1,986.2 per ounce.
