Emirates News Agency – Japanese stocks rise for the second session

Abu Dhabi, July 28 / WAM / Japanese shares rose at the close of trading today, to continue their gains for the second consecutive session.

The Japanese Nikkei index closed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, up by 0.36%, or 99.73 points, to close at 27815.48 points, while the broader Topix index rose by 0.16%, equivalent to 3.1 points, to close at 1948.85 points.

On the other hand, the performance of Chinese stocks varied, as the “ESI” Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange rose by 6.82 points, or 0.21%, to close at 3,282.58 points, while the Chinese Hang Seng Index fell in late trading by 0.27%, equivalent to 55.12 points, to reach the level of 20616.2 points.
