MUSCAT – ABU DHABI, September 28/WAM/ The United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman affirmed their firm will to develop various aspects of bilateral relations and work to coordinate the positions of the two brotherly countries to serve their interests and support security and stability in the region and the world.
In a joint statement issued at the conclusion of the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, to the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, the two countries praised the cooperation and coordination achieved in the scientific, economic, political, security and cultural fields for the mutual benefits of the two brotherly countries.

// Proceeding from the deep-rooted and historical brotherly ties and bonds that unite the leaderships of the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman and their two brotherly peoples, and to strengthen the distinguished bilateral relations between them, and in response to the kind invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, paid a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman at the head of a high-level delegation, on Tuesday and Wednesday 1-2 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1444 AH corresponding to 27-28 September 2022 AD.
The leaders of the two brotherly countries held in-depth discussions that prevailed in the spirit of brotherhood and harmony, during which they emphasized strengthening cooperation in various fields of common interest, and praising the cooperation and coordination that have been achieved in the interest of the two neighboring countries.
They affirmed the important role played by the Joint Higher Committee, and welcomed the effective communication between Their Highnesses and Excellencies the ministers in the two countries to discuss common issues that would enhance bilateral relations in the economic, commercial, investment, cultural, diplomatic, consular and educational fields, in addition to the fields of environment, food security, advanced technologies, innovation and energy and energy projects Renewables and industry, in addition to the health and pharmaceutical fields, real estate development, tourism, petrochemicals, manufacturing industries, supply chains, transportation, logistical partnership, information technology, financial technology, and everything that would enhance the common benefits and interests and bring prosperity and prosperity to the peoples of the two countries.
The two sides also welcomed the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding on various aspects of bilateral cooperation.
His Highness the President and his brother, His Majesty the Sultan, affirmed their determination to motivate the public and private sectors to intensify joint efforts to develop and diversify trade and investment exchanges and establish partnerships in various sectors and between business owners, in order to achieve integration between the two brotherly countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues and issues on the regional and international arenas and affirmed their efforts to coordinate their positions in a manner that serves their interests and enhances the pillars of security and stability in the region and the world.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq offered his sincere congratulations to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of the UAE winning to host the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28), which will be held in the year 2023 AD.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman for the warm reception and generous hospitality of His Highness and the accompanying delegation, wishing the Sultanate of Oman continued progress and prosperity.
