LONDON, 27 February / WAM/ The Liverpool team was crowned the English Football League Cup champion for the ninth time in its history, following defeating Chelsea in the final match that was held this evening at Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London.
Liverpool crowned the title following winning the penalty shootout / 11-10 / following the end of the regular and extra time in a goalless draw.
And the substitute goalkeeper for Chelsea, Kepa, missed the eleventh penalty kick for his team once morest Liverpool, to give the latter the ninth title in its history.
