LONDON, 27 February / WAM/ The Liverpool team was crowned the English Football League Cup champion for the ninth time in its history, after defeating Chelsea in the final match that was held this evening at Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London.
Liverpool crowned the title after winning the penalty shootout / 11-10 / after the end of the regular and extra time in a goalless draw.
And the substitute goalkeeper for Chelsea, Kepa, missed the eleventh penalty kick for his team against Liverpool, to give the latter the ninth title in its history.
