ABU DHABI, 7th October / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, attended yesterday evening a reception hosted by HE Maria Camilleri, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the country, on the occasion of her country’s National Day.
The ceremony, which was held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by His Excellency Ayan Berg, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Malta, a number of senior officials in the country, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the country, a number of businessmen and members of the Maltese community residing in the country.
In a speech on this occasion, the Ambassador praised the wise policy of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” and the strong relations of cooperation between the two countries, adding that her country was keen to strengthen areas of cooperation in various fields, praising what it had achieved. The UAE has made great achievements in various fields.
She affirmed Malta’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the UAE to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
Her Excellency praised the role of the UAE and its globally appreciated efforts in establishing the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence, which reflect the UAE’s well-established principles of human solidarity and spreading goodness throughout the world in order to achieve global peace and prosperity.
