Emirates News Agency – Sharjah Club crowned UAE Open Karate Championship

SHARJAH, 8th January / WAM / Sharjah Club was crowned the UAE Open Karate Championship “Kata Single”, which was hosted by the club’s gymnasium, with the participation of 84 players representing 13 clubs and centers.

The Sharjah Club champions succeeded in sitting at the top of the tournament dedicated to the men’s, youth and youth categories, after they won 12 various medals (4 golds, two silvers and 6 bronzes).

The club’s sons imposed themselves in all categories of the tournament and were able to win first place in the first and second divisions in the men’s and youth categories, after the promising star of the UAE national team and Sharjah club player Youssef Faraidoni won the men’s gold and Karim Rami in the youth category.

The championship ceremony was attended and the winners were crowned by Engineer Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Club, Head of the Individual Games Department, Engineer Hamid Shams Al Zarouni, Secretary General of the UAE Karate Federation, and Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Federation’s Competitions Committee.
