Brasilia, 16th August / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Governmental Innovation participated in the experience of the UAE government in spreading and popularizing the culture and practices of innovation in the fields of work and life, and the success story of the UAE Innovation Month “Emirates Innovates”, as part of the activities of the Brazil Innovation Week 2022, the largest event of Its kind on the level of the Latin American continent, which was organized during the period from 8 to 10 August.

The Center participated in a panel discussion entitled “Government and Resilience: Transformative Cases”, in which Maryam Al-Mansoori from the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, Marian Nyaxo, Secretary-General of the Government of Romania, Aaron Manyam, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information at the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore, and Sedruten Naim, Director of the Center spoke Permaculture Research and Pathology at the International Business School in Indonesia, and Idima Otokon, co-founder of LADEMA in Nigeria.

The delegation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation participating in the activities of the Brazil Innovation Week held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of officials in the field of government innovation from various governments of the world, experts, specialists and innovators, with the aim of discussing ways of future cooperation with the authorities and governments participating in this event, and innovative institutions. Abeer Tahlak, Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, said that the center’s participation in this important international event came within the framework of the constructive partnership between “The Emirates Innovates” and the Brazil Innovation Week, which aims to enhance cooperation and integration between governments, the public and private sectors, countries and societies, and support development efforts. and shaping new future opportunities for societies around the world.

Abeer Tahlak added that strengthening the international partnerships of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Innovation translates the government’s directions to support global efforts to enhance the flexibility of government innovation models, and improve the readiness of governments to face future challenges and changes, by looking at the best global models that have been developed, and successful experiences that have contributed to Supporting innovation, building the capabilities of innovators and enabling them to present their creative ideas, in order to ensure building global awareness of the importance of innovation and its role in empowering societies for a better future.

The session, in which the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation participated, focused on the most important future plans in organizing innovation initiatives in the UAE, and the need to enhance integration and cooperation with various distinguished institutions, whether local or international, to ensure the success of these events that involve communities in creating new experiences. And creative innovations that contribute to strengthening the government’s path towards the future.

The activities of the Innovation Week in Brazil were organized under the slogan “It is time to create”, in partnership between the National School of Public Administration, the Federal Court of Accounts, the Latin American College of Social Sciences and the Brazilian Ministry of Economy, with the participation of elite experts and innovation pioneers, to exchange visions, experiences and best experiences in the areas of innovation and technology adoption.
