Emirates News Agency – The Saudi team arrives in Abu Dhabi in preparation for its World Cup camp

ABU DHABI, 17th October / WAM/ The delegation of the first Saudi national football team arrived in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi today in preparation for a preparatory camp before participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where it is participating in the third phase of its preparatory program.

The Saudi national team camp will be held in Abu Dhabi from October 17 to November 10, during which it will play 5 friendly matches against Macedonia, Albania, Honduras, Iceland and Panama.

In addition to Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Switzerland, Ghana, Uruguay and Cameroon are also preparing for the World Cup finals, by holding their training camps and friendly matches in Abu Dhabi.

The Saudi team will hold its training camp at the Emirates Palace Hotel, while the Argentine team will arrive in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 13 November and conduct open training on November 13 at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al Wahda Club, and then meet our national team on November 16 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium Al-Jazira club, and the Argentine national team will leave for Doha on November 16, in preparation for the third group competition, which includes Poland, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

The Ghanaian and Swiss teams will also meet in a friendly on November 17 in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the World Cup in the eighth and seventh groups, respectively.

The Uruguayan national team will camp from November 9 to 19 in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the eighth and final group competition, which includes Ghana, Portugal and South Korea.

As for the Cameroonian team, it will arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 10, and then leave for Doha on the 19th of the same month, to compete in Group G, which includes Switzerland, Brazil and Serbia.
