SHARJAH, 28th December, 2020 (WAM) — The Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment implemented a series of specialized training workshops for the youth project “Sanad Al-Bayt”, with the participation of approximately 190 young men and women affiliated with the Foundation from the city of Sharjah and the city of Kalba in the Eastern Region, with the aim of improving their social, family and community skills and consolidating leadership concepts in Each participant is to have an active and influencing role on himself, his family and his community.

The “Sanad Al-Bayt” project is a training model to support orphans and mothers to face life with awareness and determination, in line with the institutional vision from which all its projects stem, which is leadership in the sustainable empowerment of orphans and families.

The project targets male and female children over the age of 14 years, to prepare them to assume their role in the family as a supporter and helper for the mother, and to empower them with leadership concepts and skills that enable them to provide support and assistance to their mothers and brothers, in the interest of the entire family to reach enabling family members to be able to create a calm and stable home that will be fertile environment for success.

Sheikha Al-Tunaiji – Head of the Social Service Department at the Foundation – said: We implemented 8 successive training workshops for children within the “Support the House” project, through which many concepts and applied practical skills of effective participatory leadership were introduced and strengthened, and the concept of roles that they can play at home, which activates During which the children play their role as young people supporting the home, in addition to enhancing self-confidence and self-esteem, enhancing problem-solving skills, and moving away from authoritarian leadership.

The project offers an inspiring set of training workshops for children and their mothers to refine important aspects of their personalities and give them mechanisms to apply the skills of adopting an orphan and give them the ability to play important leadership and executive roles to support the mother and brothers and help them to be a support for the home following the death of the father.
