TUNIS, 5th March/WAM/ The Tunisian Ministry of Interior announced the thwarting of a plot by a female takfiri element who had previously served a prison sentence for her involvement in a criminal case of a terrorist nature.
The Ministry of the Interior stated – in a statement reported by Tunisia Africa News Agency today – that the scheme targeted the kidnapping of the children of some of the security and military establishment’s employees in exchange for the release of prisoners involved in terrorist cases, in addition to carrying out a bombing operation targeting one of the security facilities using an explosive belt that it was trying to manufacture.
She explained that the woman was referred to the Public Prosecution for Combating Terrorism, an investigation was opened, and a prison deposit card was issued for the accused.
