ABU DHABI, October 10 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.. The 29th edition of the Jewelery and Watches Exhibition will start on November 9 and will continue until the 13th, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition and Convention Center “ADNEC”, with the participation of 170 local and international companies from more than 20 countries from all regions of the world.
The Jewelery and Watches Exhibition is a platform for displaying the most beautiful jewelry and the latest watches, which were crafted by the best designers at the local and international levels.
The five-day exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the collections of well-known and emerging jewelry and watch houses from around the world, including the Indian Kohinoor Jewellery, founded in 1862, Nsouli Jewelery designs, George Hakim Jewelery, founded in 1875, Italian designs by Visketti and Peshkar Devji, Ferrari Firenze, Tabarini, and many other luxury brands.
The exhibition constitutes a milestone on the map of the most important events in the emirate. Last year, it attracted more than 6,000 visitors, including jewelry lovers, buyers, and pioneers in the world of jewelry and watches. In this year’s edition of the Emirati Designs Gallery, the exhibition presents unique pieces that emulate the UAE’s heritage with jewels that blend sophistication, authentic historical depth and modernity.
The exhibition activities also include announcing the names of the winners of the “Creativity” awards, which this year celebrates the tenth anniversary of its establishment since its first inception, to select the best jewelry designers in a competition organized by the Jewelery and Watches Exhibition in cooperation with the Emirati jewelry designer Azza Al Qubaisi.
The competition is open to all emerging local jewelry designers, to submit their innovative work.
Firas Abu Latif, exhibition director, said, “The Jewelery and Watches Exhibition constitutes a unique opportunity for those interested in keeping abreast of the latest international designs in the field of jewelry and watches, as well as traditional and modern gold and diamond exhibits, as well as the latest designs of watches produced by local and international factories. We dedicate our efforts in each session to provide everything that is new and distinctive. We are keen to select prominent brands that are distinguished by tradition and elegance, to offer unique products that meet all tastes.”
He added, “In this year’s edition, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Creativity Awards, which had a prominent impact in highlighting a group of promising talents, by providing the opportunity to showcase the creative works of future designers at this distinguished event in the region.”
