Emirates News Agency – US stocks decline for the second session, and “Nasdaq” loses 1.1%

ABU DHABI, 5th August / WAM / The stock market indices on the American Wall Street Stock Exchange declined during early trading today, to continue its decline for the second session in a row.

According to US market data, the “Standard & Poor’s 500” index fell 0.67%, or 27.62 points, to 4,124.32 points, while the “Nasdaq” index, which was dominated by technology shares, fell about 145 points, or 1.14%, to 12576.09. Points, while the “Dow Jones” industrial index fell by 0.45%, equivalent to 148 points, to reach the level of 32578.58 points.

In a related context, European stock markets continued their decline in late trading, with the German “DAX” index falling by 0.44%, while the French “CAC 40” index fell by 0.71%, and the European “Stoxx 600” index decreased by 0.69%, while the “Euro” index declined by 0.69%. Stokes 50″ is about 0.63%.

In terms of Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei index rose by 0.87% at the close of trading today, extending its gains for the third consecutive session, while the broader Topix index rose by 0.85%.

On the other hand, Chinese stocks rose with the rise of the “ESI” Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 1.19%, and the Chinese Hang Seng Index increased by 0.14%.
