ABU DHABI, 15th March / WAM / The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination expressed its deep thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, the Board of Trustees and the jury of the award, and for receiving the award of the fourth session Ten leading development and production projects category, shared equally with the International Center for Local Agriculture (ICBA) in the country, during the celebration held within the work of the International Date Palm Conference, one of the most prominent scientific research stations in the field of development and development of the palm cultivation sector, date production and agricultural innovation worldwide.
His Excellency Adallah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Foundation – on the occasion of the Foundation receiving the award – confirmed that the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination received this award as a pride for the Foundation and reflects the efforts made in developing the services provided to rehabilitate people of determination in the agricultural and animal fields, and as an incentive to move forward towards providing New initiatives in the field of agricultural projects, especially in palm development, in line with the country’s efforts to assume its leading position at the Arab and international levels. It contributed to strengthening the UAE’s role in serving the date palm tree and agricultural innovation around the world, and valued the generous care accorded by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, for the date palm, which is a national treasure and has a long history in the country. As a source of food only, but because of its psychological and cultural connection with the Emirati person, and to encourage workers in this sector to produce dates and agricultural innovation.
He pointed out that the country’s agricultural activity, palm cultivation and date production in particular, is an essential and important pillar for achieving sustainable development, in addition to being a major source for enhancing food security for members of society, and diversifying sources of national income. From this point of view, the interest of the founder of the agricultural renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in the agricultural sector, was the preservation of his agricultural heritage and the cultivation of palm trees.
He praised the support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, for the development programs in the Foundation’s activities and the continuation of implementing its integrated plans and strategies for development and improvement in order to improve the level of services provided to people of determination in all its care and rehabilitation centers at the level of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including It complies with the best practices and the highest international standards.
