The French ambassador will stay in Niger despite the end of the 48-hour ultimatum given by the putschists, said Monday Emmanuel Macron, who opened the 29th edition of the conference of ambassadors. The president also reaffirmed his support for President Mohamed Bazoum, overthrown in a July 26 coup.
