The leader region Urfahr West is also starting the new funding period; namely with a comprehensive local development strategy for the nine communities in the Urfahr West region: Eidenberg, Feldkirchen, Goldwörth, Gramastetten, Lichtenberg, Ottensheim, Puchenau, St. Gotthard and Walding.
The EU funding program should continue to advance rural areas and support them in developing regional potential and thinking regarding rural development across communities. At the kick-off event in Vienna, 83 regions from all over Austria received their official recognition as local action groups from Federal Minister Totschnig.
The first funding call for projects of the new period opens at the beginning of July – each call is open for eight weeks, following which the project selection committee meets to discuss and evaluate the projects submitted.
