Since 2010, the German national player of the year has been chosen by the national team fan club – with a simple concept. Anyone who wants to can and can take part in a voting, select a player and give them their vote.

But the fact is that Can is currently leading the voting by a large margin. The midfielder has collected over 50% of the votes so far and has almost 8,600 votes. A clear matter.

In the 13 years since the election was introduced, Bastian Schweinsteiger (2010), Mesut Özil (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016), Toni Kroos (2014) and Manuel Neuer (2020), among others, have won the prize.
Last year Musiala won with a clear 66.2 percent.
The vote will continue until the beginning of January, so the result is still open.
