Books – Marwan Al-Tayeb:
Director Enas El-Deghaidy spoke about her constant arousal of controversy in her cinematic works, her relationship with the male and female stars of the artistic community, and her cinematic projects during the coming period.
Al-Deghaidy said, on the program “Ink Secret,” about presenting bold and hot scenes in international cinema and being a gateway to fame and stardom for many international stars: “All the stars, even international stars who made bold films with hot scenes, had more prestige, fame, and stardom than those who did not, because the audience loves Those who do not know what to do in life always watch the cinema, and there is an audience that watches and criticizes these scenes and becomes schizophrenic in personality, and we are all not part of the audience like that.”
She continued: “There are people who know how to get past this point and people who do not, and believe me, all people stay inside and want to watch these scenes, and you hear the needle being pushed in the movie theater. In these scenes, there is no sound. Everyone is sitting focused and watching the movie end. You will find a shower and want it again.”
She added: “And when Hend Sabry was cast in a teenage memoir… Hend Sabry is an actress, I taught her to act, and she is basically a very good actress and girl, and she did bold scenes that came from a bold society, so she was not afraid. In the movie, A Teenage Memoir, I was presented to a lot of Egyptian women, and they rejected it, and they were actresses who were still there, but Hend refused and told me. I come from Tunisia, from a society that is more open to the West, and she is an artist who appreciated the role, because these scenes are important, and because she is a serious artist.”
It is noteworthy that the last participation of director Enas El Deghaidy was the film “Majnoun Amira” in 2009.
