SKK Migas is holding the 2024 SCM Summit as a platform for stakeholders to collaborate, innovate and formulate strategic steps to support the growth of the national upstream oil and gas industry. Through this event, SKK Migas together with KKKS and other stakeholders will discuss upstream oil and gas technology solutions and breakthroughs, accelerate supply chain digitalization, and resolve complex problems in upstream oil and gas activities and operations.
SKK Migas Deputy for Business Support, Rudi Satwiko, emphasized the important role of supply chain management (SCM) in strengthening the national upstream oil and gas industry. Moreover, according to him, 2024 is a very dynamic and challenging year.
“SCM has a strategic role in strengthening the national upstream oil and gas industry. We hope that the 2024 SCM Summit can increase effectiveness, efficiency and provide added value to the upstream oil and gas industry as a whole,” he said, in Jakarta, Thursday (2/5).
SKK Migas has a strong commitment to developing the upstream oil and gas industry to support the vision of producing 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day by 2030. This commitment not only aims to meet domestic needs, but also promotes local industrial capabilities, including small and medium business groups as support for upstream oil and gas.
Head of the Supply Chain Management and Cost Analysis Division, Eka Bhayu Setta, added that breakthroughs and innovation, especially those based on lean SCM principles, will be the key to achieving the IOG 4.0 goals. He hopes that through strategic steps such as efficiency of the tender process, increasing TKDN, and digitalization of IOG e-Commerce and IOG e-Catalog, SKK Migas’ SCM function can further strengthen the growth of the upstream oil and gas industry.
“These steps are in line with the vision to increase the competitiveness of domestic industry, accelerate economic growth, and face global challenges in the energy sector,” he said.
The SCM Summit is an annual SKK Migas event which is being held again after being absent for 9 years. The theme of the 2024 SCM Summit is Navigating Long Term Plans Through Integrated & Collaborative Supply Chains.
SCM Summit 2024 activities will begin with the Pre-SCM Summit 2024 in Surabaya on June 10-11 followed by the Pre-SCM Summit 2024 in Batam on July 1-4 2024. The peak event will be held in Jakarta in mid-August 2024. Projected to be more than 7,500 Participants from various sectors will attend this conference, including SKK Migas, KKKS, government, goods and service providers, students, and other SCM professionals.
