PE chemical substances or those suspected of being PE are widely present in our production methods, our consumer products and our environment.

The exploration and prevention of their presence and their effects represent a major challenge for human health and that of ecosystems. This joint Anses-ANR event brings together experts, researchers and decision-makers from diverse backgrounds to discuss recent advances in this crucial area of scientific research.

Following a first meeting organized in 2019, this new edition will present scientific advances relating to the extent of the effects of endocrine disruptors on human health, in particular their association with reproductive and fertility disorders and hormonal dysfunctions. The impacts of these substances on ecosystems, their impact on biodiversity, the reproduction of species and the health of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems will also be discussed.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity to discuss the latest advances and challenges relating to detection techniques and new methodological developments aimed at exploring the endocrine disruption potential of substances. The implications of research on endocrine disruptors for the development of public policies and regulations aimed at reducing exposure to hazardous substances and protecting health will be discussed.

This day will end with a overview of new research directions and necessary interdisciplinary collaborations to address the challenges posed by endocrine disruptors and promote human health and environmental sustainability.
