Endometriosis – Health priority

March 28 is World Endometriosis Day. The opportunity to raise awareness of this potentially disabling disease for women which is still relatively unknown. Endometriosis is characterized by acute chronic pain in the pelvic area, bloating or fatigue during menstruation, during sexual intercourse or even when urinating. The development of tissue similar to the uterine lining outside the uterus is responsible for this condition, which can lead to fertility problems in women.

Worldwide, 190 million people would be affected by endometriosis, or nearly 10% of women, in 2023 according to the WHO. What are the consequences for the daily lives of women suffering from this disease? In the absence of curative treatment, what treatment is possible to support endometriosis?
