Eneco again offers fixed annual contracts under a price ceiling | Economy

Energy supplier Eneco will once more offer annual contracts for electricity and gas with rates below the price ceiling from Monday. Many energy suppliers stopped permanent contracts last year because of the high energy prices. Because prices are falling once more, according to the energy company, it is once more possible to offer annual contracts.

Customers who sign an annual contract with Eneco will pay 0.36894 euros per kilowatt hour (kWh) and 1.40387 euros per cubic meter of gas. The prices are therefore just below the price ceiling. The applicable rates are 0.40 euros per kWh and 1.45 euros per cubic meter of gas.

Eneco is not the first energy supplier to offer annual contracts once more. Earlier, energiedirect.nl and the smaller energy supplier Mega announced that they would once more offer annual contracts.

Eneco already offered a six-month contract, but those prices were just above the price ceiling.
