ENFIA: Repayment in up to 24 monthly installments – Who are the beneficiaries – Step-by-step process 2024-03-11 07:56:53

This possibility will exist for amounts of ENFIA debts higher than 330 euros, as the “fixed arrangement” provides for a minimum amount of monthly installments of 30 euros.

From the moment the ENFIA debt of 2024 is confirmed, if it greatly exceeds the amount of 330 euros, it can be settled at any time in more than 11 and up to 24 monthly installments by submitting an application to be included in the “fixed settlement” .

The application must be completed and submitted electronically together with a relevant declaration. The electronic submission of the application and the required declaration is made through a special application, which is available on the website of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), at the online address www.aade.gr. During the electronic submission and completion of the application and the responsible declaration, the debtor is required to fill in the relevant fields that appear on his computer screen.

THE PROCEDURE IN 5 STEPS

The process of electronically completing and submitting the application and the responsible declaration for the inclusion of the 2024 ENFIA debts in the “fixed arrangement” of 24 monthly installments will require each interested taxpayer to follow the following steps:

1 Login to the AADE digital portal and the “Debt settlement application”: From the website of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, which is located at www.aade.gr, the taxpayer must select in order “Services to citizens”, “Debt settlement application” and “Log in to the application”. He must then enter the username and password in the TAXISnet system in order to enter the main menu of the application for the electronic submission of debt settlement requests to the tax office.

2 Login to the form for submitting the application-responsible declaration: From the main menu of the application, the taxpayer must select “Continue” next to the indication “P7 Application for permanent settlement of debts Law 4152/2013, as amended by Law 4646/2019” and then “Submit a new” application. Next, he must select “Set up to 24 installments”, at which point his debts will appear on his computer screen, which can be set up in up to 24 monthly installments. He should then list his net monthly income and monthly expenses. The difference between the two amounts will determine the amount of each monthly installment that he will be required to pay by settling his debt and, consequently, will also determine the number of monthly installments, which can reach up to 24. The more the smaller the difference between monthly income and monthly expenses, the greater the number of monthly installments the system will approve. By then selecting “Next page”, the form for submitting the application-responsible declaration will appear on his computer screen with his personal identification details pre-filled.

3 Completing the application-responsible declaration: The taxpayer should fill in information that reflects his real income and property situation. In this context, he will be able to choose to extract these data from the already submitted personal income tax returns and the already submitted E9 returns. If he has income or properties that are not included in the relevant declarations, he must declare them additionally. He must also responsibly declare that there is no charge pending against him for a criminal tax evasion offence. The taxpayer must also declare the IBAN of at least one of his bank accounts through which he will make the payments of the monthly installments of the arrangement.

4 Applying: Upon completion of filling in the details of the application-responsible declaration, the taxpayer must “click” on the indication “Submit application”. The application, as long as it does not contain any errors or omissions, is submitted and immediately processed by the TACHISnet system. Immediately, the basic elements of the arrangement to be approved are displayed, namely: the amount of the debt being settled, the amount of interest charged on the debt, the total number of monthly installments, the due date for payment of the first installment, the due date for payment of the second installment, the amount of each monthly installment, the total amount payable and the Adjusted Debt Identification (TDO), a special three-digit multi-digit code number that accompanies each adjusted debt.

5 Validate setting: In order for the requested regulation to be validated and accepted by the system, the taxpayer must pay the amount of the first installment within three working days from the date of electronic submission of the application. The payment of the first installment can be made either through electronic banking (e-banking) or at the ATM of a branch of the taxpayer’s bank. The payment of the installment is possible by typing – in the case of payment via e-banking or through an ATM – the Regulated Debt Identity (TRO).

No later than three days after the payment of the first installment, the TACHISnet system shows the arrangement validated and presents the list with the payment deadlines of the remaining monthly installments of the arrangement. Each installment, from the second to the last, must be paid by the last working day of each subsequent month. The payment of each installment can be made either in one of the aforementioned ways or more directly using the payment applications that AADE has put into operation on its digital portal (payment via debit or credit card or via the IRIS system).
