2024-03-04 14:50:00

The municipality of Asse, on the outskirts of Brussels, wants to better enforce its 30 zones and is stepping up its repression. Seven new section radars are installed in the entity.

Installed on zones 30 or 50, the radars are placed on the streets next to it: Kobbegem, Ganzenbos – Langestraat ; Asse-centre, Muurveld – Boekfos – Bloklaan ; Bekkerzeel, Schutstraat – Boterberg ; Asbeek, Asbeekstraat – Kespier – Varent ; Mollem, Kasteelstraat ; Relegem, Dorpsstraat – Poverstraat ; et Zellik centre, Brusselsesteenweg.

According to the Nieuwsblad, only the radar in Asse-center was activated this Monday. The others will be during the year.

The municipality is not closing the door to the introduction of other radars in the future. For these radars, the Brabant entity called on the company TaaS and did not have to invest in the equipment. The municipality will have to pay according to the number of reports drawn up. An excess of 10 km/h is penalized with €53. Beyond that, the bill increases further.
