Engie and TotalEnergies interested in Casino’s renewable energy subsidiary

Casino is giving a boost to its disposals. According to our information, the distributor has appointed the investment bank Rothschild as well as four other advisers, Natixis, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole and HSBC, to manage the sale of its specialist in renewable energies GreenYellow.

Casino would expect around 1.5 billion euros for its nugget which it controls at 72.3% alongside Tikehau and bpifrance , in view of the first offers expected in a fortnight, from concordant sources. Or a valuation of around 15 times the Ebitda projected for 2022. Last year, the Casino subsidiary recorded an Ebitda up 30%, to 80 million euros, according to the group’s annual report. Its co-shareholders would also be sellers, sources report.
