Al Ain, October 24 / WAM / The Research Cooperation Forum between the United Arab Emirates University and the Malaysian University of Malaya discussed the results of joint research between the two parties, in the presence of a number of faculty members at the two universities, researchers and a number of postgraduate students.
Dr. Ahmed Murad, Associate Vice President for Scientific Research at the UAE University, said that the vision of the UAE University, the university of the future, to develop strategic cooperation through joint scientific research with the Malaysian University of Malaya, comes as a priority within the framework of enhancing scientific and research outputs and scientific and academic cooperation between experts, specialists, researchers and faculty members. And postgraduate students, which contributes to enhancing the international reputation and quality of scientific production of the Universities of the Emirates and the Malaysian University of Malaya.
He added that we seek to support joint research cooperation from the standpoint of enhancing and developing the scientific and international reputation in the field of scientific research, which reflects positively on the quality of research, and has a tangible impact on the scientific community by providing scientific solutions to various societal challenges, in line with the university’s vision to build international research relations with… High-level universities, and developing future plans that contribute to enhancing research outputs in quantity and quality.
He continued: “We emphasize that this cooperation comes in accordance with the strategic plan established and shared within this framework to develop innovation in the university’s scientific research for the year 2023-2026, and in cooperation with researchers at the Universities of Malaysia, Malaysia, and the Emirates within the Asian University Alliance programme, which is considered one of the basic programs that it established.” UAE University five years ago, and the progress of this program, which enhances our interaction with distinguished scholars and researchers, is now being evaluated.
For his part, Dr. Mohsen Sharif, Director of the Office of Research and Funded Projects, reviewed the distinguished capabilities of the UAE University, its research centres, specializations and activities, and the most prominent research and scientific achievements.
He gave the participating delegation from the University of Malaysia, Malaysia, a full explanation about the university’s patents, and the productivity and quality of research at the local and international levels.
During the forum, the participants, including faculty members and researchers, discussed many joint research topics and their results, as a number of research was presented in the fields of: medicine and health sciences, technology and renewable energies, water and desalination sectors, energy, engineering and biosciences, advanced technology and biology, with the aim of reaching… Results of innovative and distinguished research projects at the international level.
