Fifteen Emirati Talents Selected for ENOC’s Second Youth Council
The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has officially unveiled the second cycle of its Youth Council, integrating 15 Emirati talents to help shape the future of the energy sector. Announced in conjunction with International Youth Day, the move aligns with national strategic priorities and highlights the group’s ongoing commitment to empowering young national cadres and amplifying youth voices in the group’s development.
The newly formed council functions as a platform where young professionals can pitch visions and ideas, develop initiatives supporting ENOC’s strategic priorities, and bridge the communication gap between youth and group leadership. This structural refresh aligns with the objectives of the UAE National Youth Agenda 2031, which seeks to empower young citizens to participate in achieving national priorities and shaping the future.
Hussein Sultan Lootah Positions Nationalization at Core of Operations
Operating under the leadership of Group CEO Hussein Sultan Lootah, ENOC continues to position youth empowerment as part of its development. Lootah emphasized that treating young professionals as essential partners in building the future is important for the group’s development and enhancing its competitiveness.
“We believe in ENOC that young people are essential partners in building the future,” Lootah stated, noting that providing a supportive environment where emerging talent can develop their capabilities and express their aspirations allows them to contribute effectively to the group’s priorities. The selection of these 15 individuals follows a corporate event that celebrated the milestones of the council’s first cycle while introducing the members of the second cycle.
Celebrating First-Cohort Milestones and Strategic Workshops
The transition between cycles was marked by a corporate event reviewing the achievements of the first Youth Council. Alongside honoring past members for their contributions, the event included a review of the pillars of the UAE National Youth Agenda 2031 and dialogue sessions giving youth the opportunity to exchange ideas and visions regarding their role in developing the work environment and supporting the group’s future.
Expanding Mandates Across Dubai’s Energy Value Chain
As these 15 professionals step into their roles, the council is tasked with enhancing the voice of youth within the group, encouraging their participation in developing the group’s ideas and projects, and supporting the building of their leadership and professional capabilities. Owned entirely by the Government of Dubai, ENOC spans the energy value chain—including exploration and production, refining, supply, trade and manufacturing, storage facilities, retail and distribution, aviation fuel, and oil products for commercial and industrial use, as well as non-oil businesses such as automotive services, retail services, and integrated project development solutions.
Ultimately, by institutionalizing youth participation, ENOC is preparing a new generation of talents capable of contributing to the future of the energy sector in the state.
