Preorders Open Today for The 5.3-Inch Enough Phone
Smartphone screens grew past the point of pocket comfort years ago, but a new Android device called the Enough Phone is being launched. The Enough Phone, built around a petite 5.3-inch screen, begins taking preorders today, arstechnica.com reported.
Austin Boer, Brennan Jordan, and William Stults make up the trio behind the project, as WIRED reported. Boer and Jordan manage Sleke, a company founded in 2024 that sells refurbished Google Pixel smartphones running a restricted operating system named OdysseyOS. Stults helps run an ecommerce platform called Dumbwireless alongside his girlfriend, vetting and selling dumb phones paired with wireless plans powered by Gigs. The three met through Dumbwireless years ago.
Major mobile manufacturers abandoned small-form-factor hardware entirely. The creators of the Enough Phone spotted an opening in that vacancy. The device relies on a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 System-on-Chip paired with 8GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage equipped with a microSD card slot for expansion. The front of the phone features a 5.3-inch 1520×720 HD+ LCD panel.

Polycarbonate Build Accommodates a Removable Battery
The device breaks modern industrial design trends by embracing thickness and user repairability. Measuring 133 by 64 by 12 millimeters, the polycarbonate handset features four Torx screws on the back cover, allowing owners to easily replace the battery themselves in compliance with upcoming European Union regulations, as WIRED detailed.
That 12-millimeter thickness houses a chunky battery ranging between 3,500 and 4,000 mAh, engineered to deliver all-day endurance. While its overall physical footprint mirrors the iPhone 13 Mini, the thicker chassis accommodates the user-swappable power pack. A fingerprint sensor sits embedded directly inside the power button, while the optics package consists of a single 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 rear sensor joined by a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
Connectivity options cover 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and a dual slot supporting a physical SIM plus eSIM capability.

Software Choices Range From Stock Android to OdysseyOS
Buyers can configure the software experience out of the box. The phone runs Android 17 or can be loaded with OdysseyOS, the minimalist skin developed by Sleke that strips away web browsers, social media feeds, and games while preserving essential utility software like Uber, Spotify, and Google Authenticator, according to WIRED reporting. Software updates are scheduled to run through 2032, 9to5google.com noted.
Pricing starts at an early bird reservation tier of $399 on Kickstarter, climbing through $449 and $499 tiers before settling at a $599 MSRP ahead of the planned shipping window in May 2027.
